Three very nice things. Thank you @youthmusicuk for naming me as a “One to Watch” for 2025 ! That means you all have to pay attention to me constantly now I think I had the best best time at BBC Intro for a live session and interview with @jerichokeys . We had such an honest and refreshing talk about the EP and its meaning - Jericho, I’m so grateful and thankful for all your ridiculously lovely words and everything you do for the Yorkshire music scene. ALRIGHT THEN. A while ago, I started recording demos with my lovely genius friend Vegar. An hour into our first session I knew I wanted to put a whole EP into his hands. We carried on building our demos and finding our sound, all the while knowing that he was moving back to Norway three months later. Three months passed, he moved and we still wanted to work together, in person. SO we hatched a devious plan. I bought a plane ticket, and a train ticket, and another train ticket. We finished the EP across the North Sea in his hometown of Geilo, Norway. I feel so incredibly lucky. This collection of songs is a time capsule, with our surroundings driving the direction of the tracks and influencing the decisions we made. Me and Vegar have been sitting on these songs for a while, and it’s finally time for them to reach your ears. The first one we made together, “I Feel Better Now”, will be yours this Friday, August 2nd. Loads of love xx
